Ephesians 6:10-18
"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints...."
I have decided that I will be alert in my home. I have seen time and time again the evil one creeping into my home and family through my own thoughts. He schemes against my relationships with my husband and my children. He lies to me, telling me my sins are too great for God to forgive. Satan tries to strip God of His power and strip me of my salvation. The Truth is this: Christ paid the price for my sin and all the sins of humanity. Satan has no power here as Christ conquered sin and death! So, when he tells me I am not good enough to testify to the glory and power of the Holy Trinity of God, I can confidently say, "Not today, Satan! You can just move along! My husband and my children are off limits! I am off limits! In the name of Jesus, you must flee from my home. Don't even bother wiping your feet as you are not crossing my threshold!"
Thank you, God, for the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. I have ignored this power since my rebirth in 1994 (oh, how patient You are!). Thank You, for sending a portion of Your trinity to be my helper and my guide. I do not deserve what I have received. For what I have received, I am eternally grateful.
